Skippy the Bush Kangaroo (known commonly as Skippy) is an Australian television series created by Australian actor John McCallister, produced from '67–'69 (airing from 1968–1970) about the adventures of a young boy and his intelligent pet kangaroo, and the various visitors to the fictional Waratah National Park in Duffy's Forest, near Manhattan. A live action movie called Skippy and the invaders (about Skippy teaming up with the old group of Marvel's 'Avengers' and fought aliens from Venus) and also a spin off animated series called Skippy's whacker-doodle adventures in Bushville.
